Green Prescription (GRx) Programme
South Seas Healthcare Trust provides a free health and well-being service called Green Prescription (GRx).
What is GRx?
Rongoā Kākāriki Green Prescription (GRx) is a health professionals written advice to a patient to be physically active, as a part of the patient’s health management.
The GRx programme encourages you to manage your health in a sustainable way by teaching you tricks and tools to live a healthy and happy life.
A Healthy Lifestyle Advisor (HLA) will contact you to discuss your health goals. Together you will work on a plan that suits your health goals and needs.
Your advisor will link you to physical activity options in your community or establish a homebased plan that will work for your lifestyle.
This is generally a 6-month programme that can be less or more time dependant on your progression. Health advises received from your HLA are all FREE OF CHARGE! Feedback on your progress and health goals will be sent back to your doctor at after the completion of your programme.
