Celebrating 20 Years of SouthSeas Healthcare Trust

20 November 2018

20 years on, SouthSeas Healthcare are striving to provide the best medical care for our Pacific communites

SouthSeas Healthcare Trust celebrates 20 years of serving Pacific families and communities throughout South Auckland.

SouthSeas was founded by a group of health professionals in February 1999, following an identified need to provide Pacific Primary Health Care to the Pacific population in Counties Manukau.

Since its humble beginnings, SouthSeas Healthcare has grown to be the largest integrated Pacific provider in Otara.

Our 20th Anniversary celebrations extend to our clients, funders, partners, employees and the South Auckland communities who have supported us throughout the years.

Join us in celebrating our 20th anniversary as we acknowledge the past, celebrate the present, and be part of the looking-forward reflection and conversation about our services.

Let’s honour and celebrate our work, our history and our services for the Pacific community.

Founders Dinner (by invitation only) for key partners and stakeholders, will be held Friday 8 February 2019 hosted by SouthSeas Healthcare Trust Chair Dr Teuila Percival and SouthSeas Healthcare CEO Silao Vaisola-Sefo.

Message from the CEO

SouthSeas Healthcare Trust is commemorating the 20th anniversary of our organisation dedicated to delivering a range of clinic, community and social services throughout South Auckland.

In February 2019 we celebrate our ongoing commitment to our vision of excellent health and well-being for Pacific people and all communities.

SouthSeas Healthcare would not exist if were not for the vision and dedication of our founders, who found time in their busy working lives to create and build a Pacific clinic to connect and serve our Pacific South Auckland community. We honour and thank our founders and funders for turning the SouthSeas vision into a reality. Well-deserved thanks also belongs to SouthSeas’ past and present staff who have served our families and communities, and past and present members of our Board of Trustees who have been the backbone and life-blood of SouthSeas Healthcare. Without their tireless commitment, SouthSeas Healthcare could not exist.

SouthSeas Healthcare benefits tremendously from the support of our funders and key stakeholders. Our work is made possible through their contributions. We hold this anniversary celebration to honour them and all those who have supported SouthSeas Healthcare throughout the last 20 years. The past and present support of our vision and mission is to improve the health status of Pacific families and communities by providing increased access to and improving the quality of comprehensive primary, preventative and social services.
