Daylight saving begins this Sunday

02 April 2019

A reminder that daylight saving time changes at 2am on Sunday morning.

Daylight saving starts this weekend when clocks are set backward by 1 hour at 2am on Sunday 7 April 2019.

When local daylight time reaches Sunday, 7 April 2019, 3:00:00 a.m. clocks are turned backward 1 hour to Sunday, 7 April 2019, 2:00:00 a.m. local standard time.

Sunrise and sunset will be 1 hour earlier from 7 April 2019, giving us more light in the morning.

We are using the daylight saving time switch to remind our clients about punctuality for medical appointments.

While the clocks on most digital devices update automatically, body clock transitions can be difficult. The hour change can inadvertently affect health, mood and cause sleep deprivation.

We advise our families and clients to make sure they reset their clocks an hour backward before they go to bed on Saturday night. While it’s a seemingly minor transition, that hour backward can affect the start of your week.
