As 2019 comes to an end, SouthSeas Healthcare Board members and staff gathered for their end of year celebration, and to reflect on what has been accomplished so far.

SouthSeas Healthcare CEO Lemalu Silao Vaisola-Sefo says the end of year function is important to celebrate the hard work of staff but also about whakawhanaungatanga, where everyone comes together as one.

It is the time of the year to show appreciation for employees and an opportunity for co-workers to socialise and build camaraderie.

"We want it to be special and ensure every staff member feels appreciated and valued. Most importantly, we want to acknowledge and thank each and every one of our staff for their contribution to SouthSeas Healthcare.”

“Our end of year celebration activities are also part of our organisational culture to provide deep and meaningful ways to for our Board of Trustees and staff to mingle and lay the foundation for the coming year.”

Lemalu says it is key to recognise and acknowledge the services of staff and reflect on what has gone well, areas of improvement, growth, and in particular the efforts made by everyone to build a varied and diverse SouthSeas culture in a collegial environment.

“The year can be varied and our end of year celebration is key for everyone to make time to celebrate small successes and jointly praise each other’s contributions.”
