Our prayers and thoughts go out to Christchurch victims
21 March 2019

SouthSeas will be joining the rest of New Zealand in two minutes of silence to be held on Friday 22 March to commemorate the one-week anniversary of last week's massacre.
SouthSeas Healthcare CEO Silao Vaisola-Sefo says this is to show our support and respect to the Muslim community especially the disraught families affected.
“We are mindful of the distress that all of New Zealand, including our SouthSeas family is feeling following the tragic event in Christchurch.
“The loss of innocent lives is an unprecedented hate crime that impacts on all of us. We will all be feeling sadness, shock and disbelief as we try to go about our normal work in the coming weeks.”
Silao is encouraging SouthSeas staff to stop and check in with each other and take time just to be together over the coming months.
There is also a range of additional support if needed by staff and he encourages his staff to talk with their team leaders or members of the management team.
“Please take care of one another,” says Silao.
“Our staff and families we serve are absolutely devastated by the tragic events that occurred in our beautiful country last Friday.”
“Our office and our patients will join us in observing two minutes of silence as a mark of respect to those killed in the Christchurch mosque attacks on Friday.”
“We send our deepest sympathy, alofa and thoughts to everyone affected by the tragic events in Christchurch. To our Pacific families and communities, stay safe and look after each other.”
