PMA urging registrations by 13th September
24 August 2019
The Pasifika Medical Association are urging all Pacific health practitioners and all those who have an interest in Pacific health to register for the Pasifika Medical Association Conference 2019 'The Rising Tide' to be held at Scenic Matavai Resort in Niue by the 13th September as spaces are filling up fast.
This year's conference will cover a wide range of exciting topics, including responding to the rising effects of climate change, sharing new approaches to health workforce development, navigating the future towards positive mental health, and turning the tide on non-communicable diseases.
The Pasifika Medical Association is looking forward to delivering a conference that provides Pacific health workers and practitioners with an opportunity to collaborate on a range of issues important to improving the health outcomes of Pacific people in the region.
It will enable the Association to share innovative ideas, learning, and best practice to develop solutions to the challenges that face Pacific countries and Pacific communities in New Zealand.
Last year, the Conference was held in Auckland with theme "Participate, Innovate and Reinvigorate", which had similar topics to this year on approaches to non-communicable diseases, impact of climate change, future of mental health, and a re-imagined workforce.
The Association is expected to attract a large number of Pacific health workers and professionals, both regionally and internationally.
