South Seas Healthcare clinic is committed to being available to its patients and families during the national lockdown, in the fight against COVID-19. The government has declared a national State of Emergency, in the lead up to the full lockdown for alert level 4, effective from 11.59pm tonight (25 March), for a minimum of four weeks. Part of the lock-down requires everyone to stay home to stop the risk of COVID-19 spreading.

Our Commitment

Our commitment remains the same - to provide care for our South Auckland families and community during this difficult time. 

Phone Consultations

As part of our commitment to our patients, we will still be consulting with patients, however this process will be conducted via phone consultations, rather than clinic visits. This will feel different to your usual appointments, as we move all appointments to phone consultations. Prescriptions will be faxed to your nominated pharmacy.

Clinic Visits and Appointments

Only in exceptional cases, we will be undertaking face to face appointments. Manging the number of patients who arrive at the clinic is a safety measure to reduce waiting room numbers to help stop COVID-19 spreading. This means we will only allow a limited number of patients into the clinic at any one time, to ensure social and physical distance is maintained between patients.

We advise all our patients that we will continue to provide service. Due to the unique and unprecedented situation caused by COVID-19, we are working with new processes in place to ensure everyone can access the health services they need through South Seas Healthcare Trust.

Making an appointment

When you call to make an appointment if you think you do need to be seen in person, let reception know and they will put you through to speak to one of our nurses.

If you have cough and cold or flu symptoms or if you think you have COVID-19 symptoms, please call us first.

 If you make an appointment by phone or online, please advise us clearly what your need for the appointment, to allow us to best respond to your request.

We urge our families to continue to follow the official advice and to keep calm, keep safe, stay at home, keep up with health hygiene and physical distancing and above all, to be kind to all around you.

Call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 if you have COVID-19 symptoms or you have been in close contact with someone confirmed diagnosed with COVID-19.
