Whānau Ora: Have your say

05 August 2018

Families benefiting from the Whānau Ora programme

We encourage our families who are registered under the Whānau Ora programme to make online submissions of their experiences and journeys through Whānau Ora.

This is a unique opportunity for our families to have a say by submitting their experiences, understanding and insights of Whānau Ora before Wednesday 15 August 2018.

Whānau Ora was initiated in 2010 to provide better outcomes in communities by responding to the diverse needs of whānau and families and improving delivery of social and health services.

Whānau Ora Minister Peeni Henare encourages Pacific families to express their views and experiences in relation to Whānau Ora to ensure that the Whānau Ora service delivery model works to the achieve successful outcomes for families.

An independent panel led by Caren Rangi comprised of six members will deliver their findings in a report to the Minister for Whānau Ora in November and is subsequently expected to report back to Cabinet in December 2018.

Online submissions are available in English, Te Reo Māori, Samoan, Tongan, and Cook Islands Māori.

Submissions close on Wednesday 15 August 2018.
