Rheumatic Fever Education
Rheumatic fever is completely preventable, and it starts with a sore throat. The Rheumatic fever education service puts a range of small community innovations into practice to raise awareness of Rheumatic fever and help to prevent it.
Services are focused on face to face engagement, improving health literacy and increasing the awareness and understanding of sore throat management and the prevention of Rheumatic fever for Pacific families across Auckland. Our staff are multi-Pacific and multi-lingual, so that we can communicate with our people in our languages to spread the prevention message.
