Dr Maryann Heather
Dr Maryann Heather is a GP at our South Seas clinic with a range of experience working in New Zealand, Australia, Samoa, American Samoa and China. Of Samoan descent, she is experienced in general medicine and emergency medicine but her main area of interest is primary care and especially Pacific health. She speaks English, basic Tongan, Samoan and Fijian, and has learned some Mandarin. Dr Heather holds medical qualifications from the University of Otago and the University of Auckland, and is a member of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners, is a National Advisory Rep (Pacific Chapter) RNZCGP, Treasurer and Executive member of the Pacific GP Network and NZ Travel Medicine Association. She has worked as a GP at South Seas since 2010.
