The Blues and South Seas Healthcare partner to support South Auckland families

The Blues are proud to announce South Seas Healthcare Trust as an official community partner.

The partnership will see the two organisations deliver support for families in South Auckland, with community-based wellbeing initiatives including the South Seas “Rally Your Village” campaign and adapting past Blues initiatives such as the Best Foot forward project and the Blues Bus Christmas Appeal.

The organisations share common values and are committed to making a positive difference for the community, says South Seas Chief Executive Lemalu Silao Vaisola-Sefo.

“The Blues are an incredible organisation with strong community backing. This is an opportunity to generate community connections in a new space and will provide more opportunities for South Seas to improve the wellbeing of families.

“Community involvement can happen in many ways, from mentoring to sharing a conversation where both groups learn from each other. We will also have a strong focus on working together to develop campaigns supporting men’s health, youth development, family wellbeing and community connections.”

Vaisola-Sefo’s thoughts are shared by Blues Chief Executive Andrew Hore.

“Our game would not be possible without community support, and we are committed to giving back through this important partnership with South Seas.

“There is a shared story here, where at the heart of it, is people. As a community, we are proud of our stories and history, and the chance to recognise this importance, is seen in this partnership, where we, as a club, are growing our roots deep into the community.”

The partnership will also connect South Seas and The Blues through activation zones for community engagement at The Blues home games, with activities to let fans know about South Seas’ wrap around support services.

The partnership will run for three years and is one of two official community partnerships of The Blues.
