Whanau Ora Service
The Whanau Ora Service supports Pacific families to reach their full potential to succeed in education, health, be economically independent, have a sense of belonging and contribute positively to their communities.
Whanau Ora is an inclusive approach to providing services and opportunities to families. Working in partnership with families, it empowers them as a whole, rather than focusing separately on the individual and their problems.
The service aims to see all families living in safe, healthy homes and communities, able to support themselves. It fosters smoke-free Pacific families, workplaces, churches and communities, with healthier, happier communities. For children and young people, the services allow all Pacific children starting school to participate in early childhood programmes while all young people leaving school are supported into trades training employment or further education.
